Filing a Construction Accident Lawsuit
According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, in calendar year 2016, out of 4,693 worker fatalities in the private sector in the United States, 21.1%, or 991 deaths, was in construction – this means that or 1 in 5 workers in the construction business died on the job. The leading causes of death in the private sector construction industry were falls, followed by workers being struck by an object, electrocution and employees accidentally getting stuck in or between equipment, objects, etc. According to reports by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, these “Fatal Four” constituted 63.7% of construction worker deaths in 2016.
