ESCALATOR ACCIDENT LEAVES 7 PEOPLE INJURED BROOKLYN, NEW YORK (December 20, 2016) –  At least seven people were injured when an escalator malfunctioned at the Atlantic Terminal Mall. The shoppers were inside of a target when the accident happened. They were walking down the escalator when it was motionless. All of a sudden the escalator turned on and threw one of person near the top of their balance. That person fell forward hitting several other people and causing a chain reaction. CHAIN REACTION FALL INJURES 7 ON FAULTY ESCALATOR BROOKLYN, NEW YORK (December 20, 2016) – A malfunctioning escalator seriously injured two people at a Target inside of the Atalntic Terminal Mall, according to ABC News. The accident happened when customers at the store began walking down a stationary elevator. All of a sudden the escalator turned on and began accelerating a a high rate of speed. Police are still investigating what caused the escalator to malfunction. Those that were injured may have legal recourse for their injuries with a premises liability lawsuit.
