FATAL ACCIDENT INVOLVED TRACTOR TRAILER LEAVES TWO DEAD
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK (February 27, 2017) – Two people were killed after a car ran into the back of a tractor trailer on Interstate 70, according to JG-TC. Police are still working to identify the two people involved in the accident. Police are saying that traffic had slowed to a near stop on the freeway. The person driving the car involved in the accident seems to have run into the back of the tractor trailer. Tractor trailers typically have bars in the back near the wheels in order to prevent cars from being lodged underneath. But they can and do fail when cars run into the back at freeway speeds. Most of them are tested at speeds below 50 mph.
