Cause of Accident Remains Under Investigation
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK (January 7, 2016) – Over 100 people were injuerd when a Long Island train crashed into the Atlantic Terminal, according to ABC News.
Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the train to crash. However, police are saying that they think sleep apnea may have played a role.
Sleep apnea was responsible for another train accident that happened recently. Investigators are saying that the train’s engineer exhibited typical risk factors for sleep apnea.
The site of the accident was chaotic. One person suffered a broken leg, but thankfully there do not appear to be any fatalities.
Our staff at the RMFW Law Firm were deeply saddened to learn about this tragic accident. We encourage those that saw what happened to come forward to the police in order to help with the investigation.
