FAULTY GAS CANISTER MAY POSSIBLY BE THE CAUSE OF THE ACCIDENT ROCHESTER, NEW YORK (June 15, 2015) – A man from Greece was seriously injured after entering his car when it suddenly burst into flames and set off an explosion at a Sunoco gas station, according to WWMT News. Authorities have been able to identify the man injured in the explosion as Igor Pataco. He was taken to the hospital following the explosion where he was treated for second and third degree burns. Mr. Pataco was putting a canister of gas in his car when all of a sudden the explosion occurred. The blast from the explosion was so strong that it knocked the man off his feet almost as if a grenade went off. A faulty gas canister may possibly be to blame for the accident. Blitz USA Inc. was sued for 162 Million after a number of its gas canisters malfunctioned.
