According to NBC New York, a 15-story construction crane was being lowered in a snow squall this winter. Unfortunately, the 565-foot boom fell, struck several buildings, hit several parked cars, killed one person, and severely injured two others. Reports indicate he is now suing the city of New York for $20 million.
