17-Year-Old Pregnant Girl Tasered By Police
BRONX, NEW YORK (February 25, 2017) – A 17-year-old pregnant girl at an apartment in the Bronx was violently tasered by police as they were trying to arrest her, according to the Gothamist. Dailene Rosario has been identified as the girl that was tasered by police. The whole incident was captured on a cellphone. It shows the victim screaming out that she is pregnant. The NYPD has increased their purchase of tasers in recent years. The New York Times Reported last year that past restrictions about how many times an officer may use their taser have been lifted. The NYPD has said that it is conducting an internal review about what happened. However, there is no indication that any of the officers involved in the tasering will face disciplinary action.
