CONSTRUCTION COMPANY MAY BE LIABLE FOR TRAGIC ACCIDENT MANHATTAN, NEW YORK (July 13, 2016)
A man was injured after he was struck by falling debris at a construction site in Midtown by 30th Street and 5th Avenue, according to ABC News. Authorities have not been able to identify the pedestrian involved in the accident. Witnesses are saying that a piece of wood that was blocking the entrance to a construction site suddenly came loose and struck the man in the head. The victim of the accident was knocked to the ground with a head injury. Emergency medical workers rushed to the scene of the accident and took the man to Bellevue Hospital. It still remains unknown what caused the wooden board to fall.
