DRIVER CRITICALLY INJURED AFTER VEHICLE GOES AIRBORNE
RONKONKOMA, NEW YORK (March 12 2017) – A 19-year-old woman had to be transported to a local area hospital with critical injuries after a car crash by the Long Island Rail Road. Police are saying that the accident took place after the vehicle hit and embankment and went flying over a fence by the railroad. The car then hit a parked snow fighting machine. Authorities have not yet been able to identify the woman that was involved in the crash. Police are still trying to determine why the car veered off of the road and hit the embankment. Poor road design may have been a factor in the crash.
