Bicyclist critically injured in recent New York City accident

A 63-year-old man was critically injured after an 80-year-old man driving a Mercedes Benz crashed into him on 73rd St. in Brooklyn. Police say the 80-year-old man first crashed into a school bus. They say he was fleeing the scene of the first accident when he crashed into the bicyclist. The driver also hit another vehicle before he finally stopped.

The bicyclist was taken to Maimonides Hospital and was reportedly in cardiac arrest. The 80-year-old driver was also taken to a local hospital.
