MTA BUS DRIVER ARRESTED AFTER CRASH LEAVES WOMAN IN CRITICAL CONDITION

MANHATTAN, NEW YORK (March 10, 2017) -  A pedestrian was critically injured by an MTA bus as she was crossing the street on East Houston Avenue, according to the New York Daily News. Police have arrested the MTA bus driver. It remains unclear if there may have been issues with the lights. It the lights malfunctioned, that may imply that the city is liable for the crash. This isn't the first time that an accident like this has happened in the area. Authorities were able to identify the woman involved in the bus accident as Aurora Beauchamp. Her daughter says that Aurora Beauchamp  normally uses the bus to get around.The press is reporting that Aurora Beauchamp is a cancer patient and sustained multiple injuries in the crash.
