THREE PEOPLE KILLED IN SMALL PLANE CRASH
LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK (February 26, 2017) – Three people were killed after a small plane crashed into trees Sunday morning in Westhampton, according to ABC 7 News. The accident took place at the Gabreski Airport In Suffolk County. The FAA has not yet released the names of the passengers and pilot that died in the accident. It appears as though the accident took place as the pilot was practicing takeoffs and landings just before noon. The National Transportation and Safety Board will continue to investigate the crash. Corporations as well as private pilots have been known to use the airport. Take offs and landings are the two most dangerous parts of any flight. It is where the vast majority of accidents take place.
