Researchers have found that children with chronic illnesses are more likely to be exposed to medical errors. Numbers from 2006 indicate that 1.3 percent children with no chronic illnesses were exposed to medical errors, whereas more than 5 percent of children with chronic illness were affected by a medical error.

Through the Habitat for Humanity “Brush With Kindness” program, the family had $70,000 worth of renovations done to their home to accommodate their daughter’s needs.

A four-vehicle crash left a New York woman dead and others injured. The fatal accident happened around 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 15 along Interstate 78 in Allentown, Pennsylvania. According to police, a silver Toyota carrying five teenage boys pulled out in front of a Mazda carrying the deceased woman along with her husband and two children after changing a flat tire. The Mazda slammed into the back of the Toyota before hitting a Ford Focus being driven by an 18-year-old girl. The Mazda also hit a tractor trailer.
