23 people injured in tour bus accident

The bus accident happened around 7:40 a.m. along Interstate 80 in Wayne Township, New Jersey. Officials say the accident happened as the bus was nearing an exit ramp.

Fifty-seven people were on the bus at the time of the accident. Close to two dozen people were taken to nearby hospitals. Fortunately, none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening. The bus left from Toronto. Reports indicate that passengers were planning to attend a church event in Brooklyn. Authorities are trying to determine what caused the tour bus to overturn. As they do, they may find that the driver of the bus or another driver on the road was negligent. If that is the case, passengers who suffered injuries may have cause to file a personal injury lawsuit. Although officials do not believe any passengers suffered life-threatening injuries that does not mean that their injuries were not serious. Victims may be forced to endure surgery and rehabilitation. Their injuries may prevent them from working.
