GARBAGE TRUCK COMPANY MAY BE LIABLE FOR TRAGIC ACCIDENT HOWELL, NEW JERSEY (July 28, 2016)  An 82-year-old was critically injured after a garbage truck ran over his leg and amputated it in the process, according to NJ.com. Police say that the man suffered severe injuries in addition to losing his leg. The garage truck was backing up outside of the Cherry Tree Plaza office park by Route 9. There was an outpouring of grief and support on Facebook following the accident where the injured man was identified as George Miecke. TRASH TRUCK COMPANY MAY BE LIABLE FOR ACCIDENT HOWELL, NEW JERSEY (July 28, 2016)  A pedestrian was critically injured outside of the Cherry Tree Plaza Office Park when a garbage truck driver recklessly backed over him and amputated his leg, according to NJ.com. Facebook users have been able to identify the man that lost his leg in the parking lot as George Miecke. There was an outpouring of sympathy and support for the man. Rescue workers rushed to the scene of the pedestrian crash and were able to save the man by applying a tourniquet to his leg. George Miecke was taken to the Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune

MANHATTAN: Jose Fernandez Killed In Freight Elevator Accident at La Reguera Dominican Store In Washington Heights

BUILDING OWNER AND/OR ELEVATOR INSTALLER MAY BE LIABLE FOR FATAL ACCIDENT MANHATTAN, NEW YORK (July 24, 2016) 

A 43-year-old employee at a Washington Heights variety store has died in a tragic freight elevator accident near 552 W. 182nd Street, according to the New York Post. Authorities have been able to identify the man that was killed in the accident as Jose Fernandez. Fernandez also by the nicknames “Morenito” and “Flaco.” The employee was loading boxes onto a lift at  La Reguera Dominican when it suddenly pulled the man upward and pinned him to the ceiling.
