FENTANYL OUTPACES HEROIN AS DEADLIEST DRUG ON LONG ISLAND
LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK (January 1, 2017) – At least 220 people on Long Island have died in 2016 from fentanyl overdoses, according to the New York Times.
That number could rise as many deaths continue to be investigated. Fentanly has officially passed heroin as being the deadliest drug on Long Island.
One of the problems with fentanyl is that it can often be fairly easy to overdose on. At least some people seem to have died even while they were taking the normal doses.
Fentanyl is much cheaper to create than heroin because it is synthetic and can be manufactured in a lab.
There have been a number of fentanyl related lawsuits over the years. If you think that fentanyl may have contributed to the death of someone that you care about, the best thing to do is to contact a personal injury lawyer and let them evaluate your case.
