The cost of raising a child with cerebral palsy
A family in a nearby state recently got the help they need to care for their 7-year-old daughter with cerebral palsy. The young girl is not able to walk or talk and spends her days in a wheelchair. Through the Habitat for Humanity “Brush With Kindness” program, the family had $70,000 worth of renovations done to their home to accommodate their daughter’s needs.
Family awarded $74 million for doctor’s neglience
Although women in New York City give birth every single day, doctors must use caution when they are delivering babies. Sadly, simple mistakes can result in lifelong consequences. When mistakes are made, however, families may be able to file a medical malpractice lawsuit against the negligent parties.
