SOUTHBOUND 6 TRAIN ACCIDENT LEAVES PEDESTRIAN IN CRITICAL CONDITION
MANHATTAN, NEW YORK (March 12, 2017) – Police are trying to determine the identity of a woman that was hit by the Southbound 6 train around 1:26 PM. The FDNY is investigating the accident. Train accidents happen for a number of different reasons. Sometimes pedestrians simply do not see the train or miscalculate the train’s speed. However, there are certain circumstances where there may be liability on the part of the MTA for the accident. For example, if there was a large crack in the ground near train tracks and someone tripped on it, then the MTA be liable under that circumstance. The RMFW Law Firm extends its deepest sympathies to the woman that was injured in this crash.
