100 PEOPLE LEFT INJURED
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK (January 7, 2016) – Authorities are investigation what caused a Long Island train crash, but there are already some suggestions that sleep apnea may have played a role.
Sleep apnea can be a potentially very serious disease in which a person’s breathing starts and stops unexpectedly. This is the third time in 3 years that sleep apnea appears to have played a role in a train crash.
In the last train crash a few months ago the engineers sleep apnea was diagnosed. The same thing appears to be true here. This event raises important safety concerns.
