FEDERAL GOVERNMENT MAY BE LIABLE FOR UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE TRUCK ACCIDENT ROSLYN HEIGHTS, NEW YORK (July 22, 2016)
A 54-year old man was killed in a tragic pedestrian car accident when he was struck by a USPS Mail Truck on the Long Island Expressway, according to Patch.com. Authorities have been able to identify the man that died in the freeway accident as Mark Feldman from Sands Point. Police are saying that Mark Feldman pulled over to the side of the road in order to change one of his tires when the semi-truck crashed into him. He was later pronounced dead at the scene after the accident. The driver of the United States Postal Truck remained at the scene as investigators examined the pedestrian collision. The crash took place by Exit 39 in Old Westbury. A full investigation into this crash is ongoing, but there may be liability on the part of the driver of the tractor-trailer. Mark Feldman was already pulled over to the side of the road when he was hit. It’s a tragic situation that should be investigated thoroughly for the sake of all of those involved.
