SLEEP APNEA MAY BE TO BLAME FOR ACCIDENT
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK (January 7, 2016) – More than 100 people were injured after a train crashed at the Atlantic Terminal station in Brooklyn, according to NBC News.
The train that crashed in the accident was going more than twice the limit as it approached the station. Police are still working with investigators in order to determine exactly how the accident took place.
Some have said that the engineer exhibited signs of sleep apnea. The crashed caused the trains passengers to suddenly lurch forward and left many of them with injuries. Most of the passengers were not seriously injured and could be released after they were taken to the hospital.
Police questioned the engineer, but he said that he could not remember any of the details about what happened.
