Under the consumer protection act, you can now sue the manufacturer for injuries caused by a defective product.
If you have suffered physical or mental injury or financial loss due to a defective product, you may be able to receive compensation. While 100% safety cannot be guaranteed, product manufacturers are still liable to ensure that anything they manufacture for consumer use meets certain safety standards.
According to the Consumer Protection Act, all manufacturers need to make sure that all the products they produce are safe. Things that may affect the safety of product include manufacturing errors, faulty design, use of unsafe, hazardous or other unsuitable materials, inadequate safety features, etc. A manufacturer may also be liable if their products do not have adequate safety warnings.
