CAB COMPANY MAY BE LIABLE FOR FATAL ACCIDENT MIDTOWN, NEW YORK (July 6, 2016)
A woman from Brooklyn was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident after she was hit by a Livery Cab near Eighth Avenue and West 38th Street, according to CBS News. (map) Authorities have been able to identify the woman that died as Yuenei Wu. Wu was crossing the street when a black SUV failed to yield to her and hit her. Police arrested the driver shortly after the incident. The SUV had a Taxi & Limousine Commissioner license. Bystanders that saw the crashed rushed in order to help Wu as she was pinned underneath the vehicle. Yuenei Wu was rushed to the Bellevue Hospital in critical condition, but she was later pronounced dead due to her injuries.
