MTA BUS DRIVER ARRESTED AFTER CRASH LEAVES WOMAN IN CRITICAL CONDITION
MANHATTAN, NEW YORK (March 10, 2017) – The New York Daily News is reporting that a bus accident left a cancer patient seriously injured. The pedestrian accident took place around 9:00 AM on Monday. Police have been able to identify the woman that was hit by the bus as Aurora Beauchamp. Aurora Beauchamp is a cancer patient and was visiting Manhattan from Florida. The victim suffered multiple injuries in the crash including broken ribs, a broken hip and internal bleeding. Police arrived at the scene and arrested the driver of the MTA Bus for failing to yield. However, some have said that problems with the traffic lights may have contributed to the accident. This isn’t the first accident in the area involving an MTA bus and a pedestrian.
